Description
Project Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Project Manager and site staff on Company Projects.

This responsibility includes, but is not limited to documentation preparation, control and will coordinate procurement between site labor and office and provide support with research, documentation and scheduling for projects.

The individual works closely with all the site staff.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct support to the Project Manager and all other members of the Project Management department, as directed by verbal or written instruction
  • Generate RFI's issued by MultiTech, its subcontractors or its vendors and submit them to the General Contractor
  • Preparing preconstruction audit identifying all RFI's, capturing any work considered to be extra to the contract
  • Prepare and review submittals by MultiTech, its subcontractors or its vendors and submit them to the General Contractor
  • Log all incoming and outgoing submittal traffic
  • Follow up with the appropriate parties to obtain status updates on submittals, drawing and all outstanding information/documents
  • Maintain Electronic and hard copies of all documents and filing them weekly
  • Meet weekly with contractors to follow up on submitted requests
  • Submit all shutdown requests required
  • Communicate with foreman and subtrades
  • Prepare detailed MOPs for submission with shutdown request forms
  • Update shop drawings, RFI, Change order, site instruction logs
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Education to include civil or mechanical technical college diploma/degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
  • Previous experience in a Project Coordinator or equivalent role considered an asset
  • Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.), Outlook
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Mississauga, ON L5N 5N1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

Mechanical Coordinator: 1 year (preferred)
Construction Industry: 3 years (preferred)
