The Company

Quest Window Systems Inc ("Quest") is a manufacturer of a window wall system designed for high-rise residential developments, based in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Quest services clients from all over North America, including major U.S. metropolises such as New York, California, Maryland, DC, as well as Ontario, Nova Scotia, Alberta & BC in Canada.

Purpose:

The Foreman works in conjunction with the GC, project manager, field installers, subcontractors, and vendors; ensuring that the daily onsite operations are on track and performed safely.

The Foreman is responsible for conveying any issues to management including those that may result in extra expense, delay in schedule or a poor-quality finished product.

Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Responsible for overseeing the installation of large to mid-sized window projects.
Oversee, manage & support a team of installation professionals (up to 20 in some cases), providing quality service to our clients.
Understanding of the project scope and schedule; driving project activities and tasks through to a quality project completion.
Working knowledge of tools of the trade, including builder's laser levels & measuring devices.
Observe onsite project documentation including specifications and shop drawings.
Responsible for quality control of installation of windows and materials per shop drawings. Including documentation of all QC
Wellversed in reading and understanding blueprints and the ability to perform precise layout detail based on control lines.
Complete awareness of all safety requirements on the jobsite & disciplined to ensure all Quest representatives adhere & comply always.
Strong personal skills including ability to clearly communicate installation directions, schedules, and safety matters.
Pride in workmanship and finished product.
Ability to handle the normal administrative functions including, but not limited to material ordering, ticket work, time sheets, daily field reports.
Perform safety, quality checks on construction equipment.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Five (5) plus years of experience in commercial construction and carpentry as a Foreman or leader is desired (mechanically inclined).
Understanding of window systems, AVB and flashing is a plus but not required.
Standard prescreen background check prior to hiring. Must be able to legally work in Canada.
Time management skills
Excellent communication skills and customer service
Experience operating various types of equipment (lifts, swings stages, etc.).
Works well with and communicates with both field and management staff while establishing positive relations key to dealing with potential disputes on site in an intense environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on your feet for long periods of time
