    The Role

    The Manager supports the Senior Manager, Initiatives & Optimization and/or Director, Initiatives & Optimization, in executing on short and long term initiatives that align to the Bank's Business & Retail target model. This role is execution orientated that drives increased customer engagement, lower structural costs, and less friction across the end-to-end partner and customer journey.

    Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

    Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen customer relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and introduction of assigned Retail and Business Banking Operations initiatives/projects of systems, products, new or enhanced and procedural changes.
  • Manage the delivery, execution, and consideration of all key aspects of strategic projects including planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, time/cost estimates and a review of project work.
  • Manage project implementation schedules based on a strong understanding of the impact on the business and key support functions and through reviewing business requirements with internal/external clients and consultants.
  • Resolve frequent ad hoc requests and unplanned business issues. There can be stress resulting from constant interruptions and demands/volumes, as well as tight deadlines, delivery commitments, service/support requirements, and pressure situations.
  • Establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and departments within Canadian Banking and other areas of the Bank.

  • Familiarity of Commercial and Retail products, services, policies and procedures, banking regulations and related regulatory requirements
  • Ability to develop compelling business cases, including cost benefit analysis
  • Understanding of project management principles, methodology and tools
  • Applies strong conflict management skills to negotiate effective resolution of issues/disputes
  • Employs strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information to relevant stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Works effectively with limited supervision and under pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Experience running projects leveraging Agile methodologies
  • Bilingualism in Spanish is highly desirable but not required

  • This role has flexible hybrid working schedule. Primary location will be the Tahoe campus in Mississauga, Ontario. Secondary location will be downtown Toronto for partner meetings. Limited travel domestically/internationally.
