    Description

    Title: Electrical & Electronics Technician

    Location: Montreal, QC

    Duration: Fulltime

    Job Summary:

    The Electrical & Electronics Technician will apply knowledge of engineering principles to assist in testing, maintenance planning, and operations of our projects mainly in the mass transit industry and others like payment, access control, and industrial equipment. The role will involve reviewing and analyzing schematic for debugging and repair, wiring harness routing, soldering, and assisting with electrical systems requirements for project implementation. The Electrical & Electronics Technician will also perform functional and validation system tests and support installation efforts on projects. Travel may be required to USA and Latin America.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Review electrical system schematics, perform analytical circuit functionality, and execute repairs, modifications to meet project function
    2. Use electrical and electronics knowledge to perform hardware and system debugging
    3. Develop wiring architecture, wire harness routing, power distribution, and electrical system needs and requirements
    4. Integrate wire harnesses, connectors, sensors, switches, and electrical components into overall vehicle architecture including high and low voltage systems
    5. Execute electrical system functional and validation test requirements
    6. Soldering on PCB for modifications, testing, and analysis
    7. Participate in programs, team meetings, and training
    8. Support customer implementation and installation

    Education & Experience:

    Education: Minimum Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
    Preferred: Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
    Experience: Minimum year experience

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of electronics components including ICs, sensors
    • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others to deliver quality products
    • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and familiarity with Soldering and Rework and Repair on SMT components on PCB
    • English and Spanish speaking mandatory
