Southcentre Mall is one of Calgary's favourite shopping destinations, connecting shoppers with the brands and experiences they crave.

It is a 1.1 million sq ft super-regional shopping centre located in south Calgary, which is owned by Oxford Properties Group.

It is home to city exclusives such as Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware and western Canada's first Decathlon. Perfectly positioned in the city's fastest growing trade area, Southcentre is surrounded by thousands of the city's wealthiest households.


Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for retail and a knack for cultivating memorable experiences? Southcentre Mall is seeking a General Manager to lead our esteemed team and drive our continued success and excellence in Calgary, Alberta.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute innovative strategies to enhance Southcentre Mall's market position, driving foot traffic, revenue growth, and tenant satisfaction.


Operational Excellence:

Oversee all aspects of mall operations, property management, security and tenant relations, ensuring seamless day-to-day functionality and superior customer service.

Work with internal and external stakeholders such as Asset Management, Development, and Leasing.


Tenant Engagement:

Cultivate strong relationships with tenants, fostering a collaborative environment that supports their success and enhances the overall mall experience.


Financial Management:
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability while maintaining cost-efficiency.


Community Engagement:

Act as a liaison between Southcentre Mall and the surrounding community, spearheading initiatives and events that foster community engagement and drive brand loyalty.


Team Leadership:

Inspire and mentor a dedicated team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork to achieve collective goals.


To succeed in this role, you have:

Proven track record of successful leadership in the retail or commercial real estate industry, with a minimum of five years in a managerial role.

Exceptional strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, financial analysis, and reporting.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with tenants, stakeholders, and team members.

A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences and exceeding expectations.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field is preferred

Knowledge of the Calgary market and retail industry trends is advantageous.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a requirement of the role
