    About the Company

    Our client, a leading Commercial Property and Asset Management firm is looking to hire a Commercial Property Accountant for their office in North Vancouver.

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Controller, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the designated commercial portfolio. This entails tasks such as setting up leases in Spectra, processing billings and chargebacks, posting the rent roll, overseeing tenant accounts receivables, handling GST, parking tax, and PST rebates filing. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, executing month-end journal entries, generating monthly financial reports, conducting thorough account reconciliations, preparing detailed variance reports, participating in budget preparation, reconciling year-end operating costs, and meticulously crafting annual audit working papers.

    What you Bring

    To be successful in this role, you should possess a minimum of 2 years of commercial property accounting experience. Having a CPA designation or substantial completion of the CPA program is highly preferred. Additionally, you must have an advanced working knowledge of MS Office Excel and Yardi. Familiarity with Spectra software would be an asset but not required.
