    We are looking for a detail-oriented Jr. Property Accountant to join a team in the Property Management industry located in downtown Toronto.

    Do you have experience working in the property management industry?

    Responsibilities
    In this Property Accountant role in downtown Toronto, you will have the following duties:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year‐end financial statements/reporting packages
    • Perform a wide variety of accounting analyses.
    • Analyze various transactions and identify appropriate accounting treatment
    • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
    • Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
    • Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Process cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
    • Prepare common area maintenance and real estate tax reconciliations
    • Monitor daily cash balances Assist with the preparation of annual operating budgets
    • Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned
    Qualifications
    We are looking for the following experience for this Property Accountant position in downtown Toronto:

    • Minimum 1 year of experience in fullcycle accounting in the property management sector
    • Experience reviewing bank statements, preparing reconciliations, and investigating variances
    • Experience with YARDI ERP is a great asset
