    Ranked among the top 85 education faculties globally, the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa is a leader in the pre-service and professional development education of teachers as well as educational research. Taking into account a constantly changing society, the Faculty is committed to strategic priorities around developing French-language education in minority settings, educational innovation, Indigenous rights, educational technology, and equity and social justice. The Faculty's goal is to play a key role in the evolution of education, thus contributing to shaping an inclusive, harmonious future for all.

    The University of Ottawa is seeking a Dean of the Faculty of Education who will be responsible for all aspects of the Faculty's operations, including budget and fund development, research, undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, developing and supporting faculty members and administrative staff as well as continuing or developing strong relationships with the Faculty's many partners. The successful candidate must be bilingual (French and English), possess a Ph.D. and demonstrate a record of outstanding senior academic leadership in education or a related field. The candidate must bring a deep commitment to, and successful support of, reconciliation through innovative research, teaching, and practice. In addition, the Dean should have knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of education in a minority setting. Finally, the Dean must be a strategic and collaborative leader with strong management skills.
