    Description

    Pickering College is recruiting a qualified Science Teacher for our Senior School. The successful candidate must demonstrate superior teaching abilities in Chemistry and General Science, and an eagerness to become involved in the co-curricular programming at the school. We are seeking a candidate that possesses passion, compassion, expertise in their subject area, instructional expertise, and proven curriculum innovation. Pickering College is seeking candidates who are aspiring to grow into an instructional leadership role.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Education, Senior School qualifications
  • Chemistry and General Science; 3-5 years of experience
  • Specialist qualifications in Science; Math qualifications an asset
  • Expert and comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario curriculum
  • Strong technology skills
  • Demonstrates passion for innovation and creativity in education
  • Demonstrates commitment to students' academic and personal success, including development of learning skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively
  • Experience planning and leading excursions to enhance curriculum
  • Ability to engage with, and implement the objectives of Pickering College's Global Leadership Program
  • ESL Teaching experience an asset
  • Independent School experience an asset
