    Join us as our newest Senior Environmental Engineer

    Your role at EXP

    EXP is currently on the lookout for a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). The chosen candidate will have the option to work from either our Brampton, Markham, or Hamilton offices, depending on their preference. Responsibilities include providing support for Environmental Investigation, Remediation, and Risk Assessment projects throughout the GTHA.

    A typical day at EXP

    • Provide guidance, training, and operational assistance to junior and intermediate staff in environmental site assessment, remediation, and risk assessment, following the guidelines of Ontario Regulation 153/04;
    • Oversee the technical, scheduling, and budgetary aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with site, corporate, and regulatory standards;
    • Act as a subject matter expert in your field;
    • Conduct analysis, create documentation, presentations, and reports for both internal and external stakeholders;
    • Participate in technical societies, internal/external programs to enhance knowledge and network;
    • Collaborate with senior team members to enhance the company's reputation and client relationships.

    Your qualifications

    • Must hold a Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (P.Eng.);
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the environmental sector in Ontario, preferably with consulting background;
      University degree in Engineering;
    • Familiarity with provincial (Ontario Regulation 153/04, Ontario Regulation 406/19, Ontario Regulation 407/19, etc.) and federal (CCME) guidelines for contaminated site assessments;
    • Experience in conducting contaminated site investigations (Phase I and II ESAs) is mandatory;
    • Background in remediation and risk assessment, with a focus on Risk Management Plans, is desirable;
    • A proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working independently and in teams;
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
