Description
Reporting to the Director of SOCC and Medevac Operations, the Manager of Crew Planning and Scheduling is responsible for the onboarding of new employees, crew planning and scheduling, payroll, and other Human Resources assigned duties such as: implementation and interpretation of Collective Agreement, Policies, and Procedures, Recruitment, and Labour Relations within the SOCC department. They directly manage all crew planners, crew administrators, and Pilot Payroll.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
· Managing all flight crew and SOCC employee time banks and time off requests
· Approving both flight crew and SOCC employee's payroll
· Assisting with budgeting
· Overseeing all monthly schedule builds, as well of day-to-day crewing
· Coordination of onboarding all SOCC employees as well as Flight Crew Orientation
· Overseeing Pilot uniform pieces, and ensuring stocks maintained
· Managing flight operations projects: Electronic Training Records, Automated Payroll System, Operating system implementation, Contract Implementation
· Actively participate in the Company's Safety Management System
· Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources and labour relations strategies including policies, programs and procedures to address the department's human resource requirements.
· Assist Chief Pilots, Training Manager, and Human Resources with the recruitment and training of employees – Flight Crew and SOCC.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
· Post-secondary education in Human Resources
· 2 to 3 years' experience in a Human Resources Coordinator Role or equivalent
· Experience administering policies and procedures
· Knowledge of Canada Labour Code considered an asset
· Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
· Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations.
· Previous experience in crew scheduling, or crew payroll considered an asset.
· Previous experience with an Aviation Management Software System considered an asset (VMO preferred)
· Previous experience with a Human Resources Manager Software considered an asset (Dayforce preferred)
· Previous experience conducting payroll/scheduling in a unionized environment.
· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Working Conditions
· Physically able to perform all listed job duties.
· Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role.
· Work performed primarily in an office environment.
· Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone.
· Physical location of position is only accessible via a flight of stairs.
