Hate, Greed & Other Unevolved Bullshit

S & OPINION FROM THE QL

4 i Conia 9 acon

I'm not sure what it is about Fridays, maybe it's just their inevitability, but I always seem to wake up with some sort of bone to pick with the human race. So here we go.

The world is at war with itself. The world is trying to find a way to become one thing that can benefit everyone.

But the world is having trouble. And there is a very good reason for that. Because even though ‘civilization’ as we more or less know it, has been around for literally thousands of years, the human race itself has still not managed to evolve beyond the norms that were established in the very beginning.

Power is still determined by the ability to destroy and not build. Greed and the need to accumulate wealth at the expense of all else is still at the centre of our cultures. Hatred and division are still more powerful forces than love and unity.

The simple fact is that, despite all the technology we have developed, we have not learned to work together for the good of the whole world, all 7 billion souls, has to make any thinking person sad.

Instead, we create all these walls built of ideology, religion, gender, politics, economics. Walls that keep us separate. Walls that create hatred and jealousy and envy and scorn. Walls that grow higher and higher every day.

And for what? To protect the little piece of the world we think we own? We own nothing. The earth owns us and in that way, we are all equal. No matter what god you pray to or what idol you worship. No matter how you lean politically. No matter how much you have accumulated.

It means nothing. Because it doesn’t belong to you. You don’t own anything. It all belongs to the earth, and the earth can take it back faster than any war or priest or mad dictator. The earth owns us, and it is the arrogance we possess that lets us labor under the delusion that the opposite is true.

Once you realize that, to the earth, we are simply a species of life at the top of the food chain…once you understand that the earth doesn’t believe that black humans are inferior to white humans or yellow humans or brown humans…once you realize that we all have many many more similarities than differences and that those differences are all superficial…once you realize that your purpose here is to take care of the earth and every creature that shares this planet with us…once you realize that all this technology is a tool that should benefit everyone and not a weapon for one group to use against another. and once we all realize that God is a force of nature and not an idealized personification of ourselves…

Once we realize all of those things, then and only then will be on the road to evolution.

Right here and right now, we have all the information we need to understand this. And we have all the technology that we need to unify the world and stop trying to destroy each other out of fear or some other weakness.

All we lack is the collective will.

We are still too caught up in the small shit of politics and greed. We are still too divided by the walls we have constructed to create the illusion of protection. We are still laboring under the same delusions about each other that we have all through recorded history.

Whenever I think about it I want to cry because, in my heart, I know that this was not the kind of world we are supposed to have.

I don’t know how we got here or how all this came to be. And I haven’t given a shit about the answers to those questions since I was in college many moons ago. What I care about now is how we make this place into something that everyone can be happy with.

I’m pretty sure I will not live to see that happen. But it needs to, otherwise, the people who come after us are going to have a harder and harder time trying to exact some real living out of the life they have been given.

There is some irony in the rant. Darwin's theory's are playing out in, the strongest, within a given regulatory environment, are floating to the top. Given that religion is merely mysticism at best under the post modern theory, we are at our best right now. This is what science is telling us and atheist views subscribe. A venture within "The Road to Serfdom" by Hayek or Nietzsche's God is Dead story and you will find the answers to the lack of collective will you seek. There are really only two very basic principals we can subscribe to within humanity. The group is supreme or the individual. All regulations should hold true to either of these two concepts. We cant live in the middle. Should we choose to continue the sanctity of the individual then every challenge must meet the criteria of this freedom. If it is the group we choose then the individual must be sacrificed for the good of the group. Within either of these choices there will always be greed and hate. Not because of the choice but rather the basic concepts of being human. We all make good and bad choices. The hope is we learn from these and grow in wisdom. Under post modern thinking, an extension of Darwinism, wisdom is folly. Avoiding the "where something comes from" does not make right the ship. It only expresses the poor choices of opinions that have not gained wisdom from our ancestors mistakes. Your rants are worthy of discussion and as a review of where we are. The best we can hope for is to intervene within those we love to help them make the world a better place.

If you say so. Trouble is you have never really clarified your position. So you sounds a hell of a lot more extreme right than it would appear you are. If I missed your clarification, let me know where it is. Because I do respect your intelligence, even if I am a namby pamby dreamer.

Thanks Bill King. I will not be deterred. I do have hope. And I do believe there is more good than bad in this world. More beauty than ugliness, and more smart people than idiots.

Old Cherokee saying: "When the white man discovered this country, Indians were running it. No taxes, no debt, women did all the work. White man thought he could improve on a system like this."
