Physical Intelligence - Day 13

I could give up coke but today the brown liquid was flowing, and the minimum I should expect moving forward to the next 80+ days is make a commitment now that this will be the last bottle of coke during this 90 day physical intelligence challenge.
Fruit is a good substitute and so alongside apples and bananas I now have grapes and dates. A video about bananas may also be helpful in shifting my mindset away from sugar drinks, though I wrote a buzz called "Sugar Water", which should be enough but wasn't - but if 30 second advertisements can stimulate us to buy things that are not really good for us to consume, then a dose of healthy food media should have the same effect ( I guess for now ).

Interesting viewpoint on Cholestrol and good to see that the Banting view takes account some awful advice by government bodies in the past. Thank you for the link.

I am not a fan of dieting, because dieting is symbolic of its first three letters, so while it is good to die to bad habits, the die of dieting is something I have seen many people do, which is a needless suffering to lose weight and then the dieting stops and they fall into yo-yo land, as the weight not only comes back, but increases because the body see's dieting as a famine - and so naturally wants to add more fat to save us from the next famine. The die of famine is not the same as the die as rebirth. It is simply this word "dieting" that now gives me a hair trigger reaction because it has fueled such an industry of image and false hopes. Beyond that one single word, I have great affinity with what you have said and the takeaway from what you have said is most worthy.

I did road running just once and it was a sorry affair, ironically I found the treadmill kinder to my knees than the roads around where I live, and the chief "killer" was running up-hill. I can adjust the incline on a treadmill but it was torturous for me when I confronted a natural incline. Getting to the top of the road does have a benefit in that there is a great vista of the city but when both lungs feel blown out, the appreciation for the aerial view is not as quite forth coming ! Kudos to you for running 5K and in that kind of heat.
