Physical Intelligence - Day 48

A spate of parties is becoming a challenge to navigate because they affect time, effects of exotic food and extravagance. I wish the way people host and conduct parties would be different but there seems to a social condition to be lavish, over-the-top and expend a lot of entertainment resources for a short-term moment of celebration. If this was rich people doing this it would be one thing, but that it is working folk and the each event tries to up the ante, this is the kind of social behaviour that I would normally call out as being over-branded existence.
That it is close relatives makes the options of opting out difficult, there is too much video and visuals to try to stay low key or even escape early, because the whole of this is based on respect and obligation. That it means I am back home after midnight, feeling the after-effects of having been to a party simply throws a spanner in the works - where the requisite discipline required for physical intelligence is forsaken. This time last year the problems were of a different sort whereas now it is I who have to figure out how to overcome and mitigate against social and relational commitments.
Even this log got delayed and being that it is midnight, the best option now is straight to bed after a shortened log today.

Log Day 48 - 19th May 2016
For the first time | have hit a funk My commitment to physical intelligence is
beginning to wane and 19th May 2016 represents the flashpoint to bring it
back on track
On Day 1 the promise was that if | avoid sugar. | will have a coach. If | do
not. then no coach At that point | should have embraced the coach. instead
| embraced not cutting out the sugar. While giving up the coach has not
been a disaster because | have maintained minimal focus and expectations -
it has stopped me from pushing myself and raising the bar on expectations.
Now | am on the back of half of the 90 days of Physical Intelligence. that
sugar intake needs some enforced discipline. Only the next few days will
show me whether this is a nice idea at the time or something | can change
Maybe | have read one too many postings on procrastination in the last few
days and the idea of procrastination can serve as a convenient excuse,
since it absolves one's own personal responsibility to the commitments we
have made or the goals we end up pursuing in half-hearted vanity
A blip or a period of funk is not a reason for ending my commitment to
physical intelligence. if anything it is an injection for renewal of energy
Especially since | have got at least this far, which is further than | would have
done if procrastination was really eating into my psyche. It has not. a funk is
a funk. | can junk this funk and 19th May 2016 is nice marker 10 know when |
did and then how that changed my energy focus for the next 7 weeks.
