Physical Intelligence - Day 74

As Daniel Anupol spoke about his approach to Intermittent Fasting as a part of his Advanced manual "Interpersonal Communication" speech project last Saturday, I could entertain the idea of it, but I know that I do not have the resolve to fast and carry out the physical practice of it.

The idea of fasting in a set pattern to make use of the bodies biological responses is interesting and it definitely counts as to being called a physical intelligence, but how often are any of us, other than those committed to our physical being accountable to our own physical intelligence?

Daniel took a technical approach to his speech and one of the techniques he discussed was the 5-2 method i.e. fasting for two days and eating normally for five days :

I  like the idea put forth why fasting improves brain function and how that helped our ancestors to hunt food.   Mosley also questions whether we do exercise wrong in light of our ancient constitution from our hunter-gatherer past.  In his Toastmasters speech Daniel also focused on the growth hormone factor in his speech (IGF1) and Mosley makes an interesting observations about eating like we are growing children, but I also want to know more about why growth hormones has become a complex subject in the world of athletic performance, so I took a deeper look at IGF1 - which actually opened up a whole new set of questions:
