Superbowl Manjit !!!

Superbowl Manjit !!!

I did it again, I counted the Patriots out for the count at 28-3 and decided that I will retire to my room.  Then a knock happened and it was one of our boys saying "Papa, come down!" and I said "Why?" and he said standing on the other side of the door "you just gotta come down now!".

I realized there was some kind of comeback but I had no idea what - and at that point I realized that not only did I miss a classic Federer vs. Nadal match, but I retired at exactly the wrong time and missed most of the greatest comeback in Superbowl history.

What I did not miss was Overtime.  Once I was with the boys, the hollering and noise decibels went up, which brought our mother downstairs, who looked at us standing in celebration and she is not a fan of unruly behaviour - but this moment would not be denied - and we whoopered and hollered and jumped around like primates on heat as Brady engineering a ruthless drive, having won the all important coin toss.  It was 34-28 - how did this happen?

I am glad for Tom Brady who has forever stamped his name as the greatest and greatest of greatest of all Superbowl quarterback.  Payton Manning you never did anything like this !!!

And of course as the game was happening and the momentum was dramatic I asked our kids to take a picture of me, which cast my shadow on the screen.  What a wonderful result !

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS  34

ATLANTA FALCONS              28

The greatest Superbowl game in history and the great son of Croatia Bill cements his greatness too.  Congratulations to the 2017 Superbowl Champions - The New England Patriots

The kids saw the game, I gave up in the third quarter after Atlanta made it 28-3 and then went upstairs and was commenting at beBee - by the time my kids knocked on my bedroom door I had realized I had just missed the greatest comeback in Superbowl history. Did see the overtime phase and one my kids took the shot above of me celebrating, the cool thing is that the projector light cast my shadow against the screen, so at least I was there for the spectacular ending. The last time I was this excited about a Tottenham game was in 1981 -and the FA Cup Replay - that was a legendary 100th FA Cup Final.

Reuters focus on "Dynasty" and how adaptable Coach Bill Belichick has been over the years, despite the NFL Commissioner's attempts to prevent dynasty teams from arising - the Patriots dynasty is the essence of adapting. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-nfl-superbowl-idUSKBN15L04C?feedType=RSS&

CBC in Canada focus on the humbling of the NFL commissioner who was absolute in his determination to ban Brady for four games at the start of the season - the Patriots sure had the last laugh with Roger Goodell. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/nfl/roger-goodell-booed-super-bowl-new-england-patriots-1.3968397
