The Two Mauricio's

For the first time both of the two major European competitions will feature all-British clubs as Chelsea face Arsenal in the Europa League Final on 29th May and Tottenham face Liverpool in the Champions League Final on 1st June. For two of those managers the managers named Mauricio have never won anything. Klopp has won a German Cup but has lost in six previous Cup Finals and Arsenal's Unai Emery is a Europa Cup specialist, winning that trophy 3 times with Sevilla, as well as winning the Ligue 1 as PSG became French Champions and all the other domestic trophies in France.
The irony is that even if Mauricio Sarri wins the Europa League and having taken Chelsea to a third place finish and runners-up in the League Cup Final, he may still end up losing his job, while NOT winning actually improves the chances of Pochettino remaining as Tottenham manager. The Spurs Chairman has definitely tested the patience and limits of Pochettino, at the same time knowing he has secured him under a five year contract. For all of Daniel Levy's famed toughness, it is the opposite characteristic that have allowed Tottenham to succeed, which is the love Tottenham players have for Mauricio Pochettino. That cannot be said about Mauricio Sarri whose players would not care if he is replaced.
If Liverpool and Arsenal lift one trophy each, then the two Mauricio's will have continued their record of never having won anything. While Liverpool have a fantastic legacy as a team that has won all manner of trophies and championships, they have not done so in recent decades. If Liverpool lose, there will be question marks over Klopp in that for all his success, he has not won a trophy for Liverpool. Yet that is unfair because he lost only one game this season in the Premier League and that loss was against Manchester City, whose goal was determined by goal-line technology has having crossed the line by 11mm. Lets put it another way without goal-line technology, Liverpool could have been awarded the goal because it looked like it had crossed the line and they would have probably drawn against City. That would have given them the title but also an amazing record, as the only other team to go unbeaten in a Premier League season, matching "The Invincibles" which is Arsene Wenger's legendary Arsenal team that are the only one's who went through a season unbeaten.
