The Opportunity

Columbia College is looking for
Sessional English
Instructor** to teach in our University Transfer and University Prep Courses on campus.

- **English 100, Language & Composition, section **Wednesday and Saturday from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm

This part-time sessional position will commence in
May 2023 and end in
August 2023.
Key Responsibilities

The instructor's primary responsibilities include planning, teaching, marking, and grading the appointed course/s.
-
Master's degree in English Literature required
- **Credentials (CELTA, TESL, or TESOL certificate) and experience teaching ESL courses
.

Facetoface and online experience teaching English at another postsecondary institution.
Excellent expertise with Learning Management Systems (Knowledge and experience with Moodle is an asset)
Demonstrated success in innovative or studentcentered teaching techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in teaching a diverse student body.

Salary

We offer the following competitive compensation:
For English contact hours + 2 office hours), we offer a gross salary of
$9,628.24 for a Master's degree holder and
$10,746.58 for a Ph.
D. holder.

The course compensation is linked to teaching hours.
