    Y Experience Supervisor

    The Northern Alberta YMCA is looking for an experience customer service leader to work as Y Experience Supervisor to provide leadership to the YMCA Experience team as it relates to services and sales to ensure that all members, participants and guests have a positive experience while visiting our centers. This position requires a flexible schedule working evenings, weekends and holidays.

    Position Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train and manage all staff and volunteers within the YMCA Experience team.
  • Provides efficient, effective and excellent service through appropriate scheduling and approved budget.
  • Promote and facilitate a positive YMCA experience for anyone who visits our Centres.
  • Be available to provide information on YMCA programs and services to meet individual needs, process registrations for memberships, events, programs and services. Process and approve Opportunity Fund applications. Offer tours and welcome prospective members.
  • Respond to all requests and concerns in a timely manner, communicate issue with appropriate staff as needed.
  • Ensure work area (lobby, desk and entry) is clean and maintained.
  • Ensure YMCA Cash Handling Policy and processes are followed.
  • Work shifts as a Manager on Duty.
  • Act as a back-up to Associates and Coordinators as needed.
  • Lead and manage processes, systems and initiatives that will promote growth, improve retention and ensure all YMCA experiences are excellent as directed, ensure all standards are met.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and management of Membership expense budgets.
  • Monitors and reinforces member/guest behavior in accordance with the Member and Participant Code of Conduct.

    • What You'll Need for This Job

  • Related post-secondary education is an asset.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years experience as a leader in a customer service environment.
  • Certifications: Standard First Aid & CPR-C
  • Flexible availability
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector check.
