Role Summary
The Medical Office Administrator (MOA) will be involved in all aspects of administering daily operations of CHARM Fertility, promote the clinic's diverse services and expand its client base.
Role Responsibilities
- Assisting the doctors in ultrasoundguided procedures such as Sonohysterogram,
- Performs and assess ultrasound examinations (Transabdominal and Transvaginal)
follicular monitoring, obstetrical scanning (early pregnancy), pelvic ultrasound for
Gyn patients
- Provides optimum patientcentered care and demonstrates a professional manner
- Reports, reviews, and records findings of ultrasound scans to provide accurate
- Consults with physicians as needed about ultrasounds results
- Operates and provides continuous maintenance of ultrasound equipment via
- Actively participates in team building concepts, and development of departmental
- Must be able to work independently without supervision
- Keeps EMR records using Oscar up to date by scanning the patient file, test results and other documents and properly saving them in the patient's electronic file
- Receive and send faxes, make photocopies, scan documents and accept deliveries
- Administer patient billing, collect overdue payments and process receipts
- Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information
- Other duties, as assigned
Formal Education or Equivalent
- Associate's Degree in MOA or Bachelor Degree in healthcare management or any management Degree
- Additional vocational training or certification in medical is preferred
- 3+ as a Medical Office Administrator
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology, including knowledge of common medical conditions, procedures and abbreviations.
- Keen attention to detail when recording patient information,managing medical records and processing billing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients,healthcare professionals and colleagues.
- Strong customer service skills to provide positive and compassionate experience for patience.
- Understanding and adherence to patient privacy regulations (e.g HIPAA) and ethical guidelines.
