    Responsibilities

  • Software Evaluation: Coordinate with business partners, program managers, and other technical stakeholders to intake new software opportunities that aligns with MNP's strategic imperativesPartner with stakeholders from both business and IT domains to analyze software, ensuring compatibility with existing systems, architecture standards, and regulatory expectationsCollaborate with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Legal, and Contracts teams to assess risks related to software security, privacy, and licensing/costingWork closely with Procurement and Support Services to facilitate the onboarding of software
  • Asset Inventory and Compliance Use ServiceNow to maintain an accurate inventory of software assets, collaborating with various teams to explore integration opportunities, automation, and enhance data quality (ensuring currency, compliance and comprehensiveness)Monitor software installations and optimizations based on usage metering, and driving reclamations to ensure cost savings for the organizationPartner with the Business Applications Manager to recommend strategies for application rationalization to reduce costs and standardize usageManage and monitor software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor terms and conditionsCollaborate with vendors on contract renewals, issue resolution, and stay informed on licensing changes
  • Governance Utilize ServiceNow reporting and dashboards to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadershipEngage and educate on software asset management and data privacy best practices across the IT departmentEducate and influence IT application owners on best practices for application lifecycle management to ensure optimal adoption of the organization's software solutions
  • Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in software asset management or related fields
  • Knowledge of software licensing models and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency with Software Asset Management (SAM) tools and software inventory systems.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Discovery tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Azure, etc., for integrated software inventory management.
  • Certifications in SAMPro, Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) are considered assets
