    Description

    Our client is a diversified real estate development group with a robust portfolio that includes commercial, residential, hospitality, and food and beverage manufacturing sectors.

    Operating with over 450 employees, including 85 managers, they are a cornerstone in the real estate development community. To bolster their finance team, they are seeking a seasoned Corporate Controller to work on-site.

    Lead and manage the accounting operations of the company, including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and statutory reporting.

    Develop and maintain internal controls and policies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting.

    Manage the budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow planning processes, working closely with the COO to align financial management with strategic business objectives.

    Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 12 accountants, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    Collaborate with other department heads to provide financial insight and analysis, supporting broader corporate strategy and decision-making.
    Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
    Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments, and manage capital requests and budgeting processes.

    Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar senior financial managerial role, ideally within the real estate sector or related industries.

    Highly analytical thinker with proven ability to work through complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders.
    Proficient with accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office, particularly Excel.
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant field.
