    Reports to: Manager, Internal Communications
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week
    Salary: $64,974 - $81,218
    Status: Permanent Full-time
    Closing Date: May 31, 2024

    We are searching for an energetic, organized, and experienced internal communications practitioner who is ready to leverage their experience with planning and executing on communication that informs, engages, and motivates employees.

    The Senior Communications Advisor will join the Internal Communications team within the Communications and Brand Strategy department and contribute toward establishing a centre of excellence. The role is dynamic with opportunities for new challenges and growth.

    In this role, you would:

    • Contribute to the creation and execution of strategic integrated communications plans on a wide range of clinical and non-clinical subjects, offering advice and consultation throughout the engagement
    • Write, edit and proofread clear, engaging, easy to read, and well-structured content for a variety of internal audiences, through a range of channels
    • Help build, pilot, and roll out templates, checklists, and other tools that local leaders can use to communicate effectively and efficiently
    • Be the point person for a variety of IT and/or capital redevelopment projects
    • Support the creation of internal SharePoint sites based on content, style, and technical guidelines
    • Collaborate with colleagues across the department on events and org-wide initiatives
    • Ensure alignment of messaging with fundraising content produced by the Foundations
    • Participate in continuous improvement, using data and insights to inform decisions

    Qualifications

    • A degree or diploma in a related field (Communications, Marketing, Public Relations)
    • 4-5 years communications project management experience
    • 4-5 years writing and editing for internal audiences that are diverse in many ways, including function, age, tenure, profession
    • 2-3 years front-end and basic back-end experience using SharePoint for internal information sharing
    • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively during teamwork
    • Demonstrated ability to absorb complex or technical information and translate it into plain language and/or simple steps
    • Creative problem-solving
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Proven critical thinker
    • Proven diplomacy, tact, and negotiating skills
    • Business acumen
    • Ability to exercise good judgement in difficult situations
    • Ability to establish constructive working relationships with colleagues at all levels
    • Ability to juggle projects and work efficiently
    • Healthcare experience a strong asset
