Shylo Home Healthcare is the original Home Care agency in the Lower Mainland that has been providing care to seniors in our community since 1980; the majority of our clients are on The North Shore, but we also provide service to residents of Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond.

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Community Nurse Supervisor to join our fabulous team. We are not an American franchise, we are a local business, owned and operated by local Registered Nurses.

We care deeply for our clients and our caregivers, and we're looking for an individual that wants to make a difference for the seniors in our community.

    Responsibilities:
Meet with potential clients and their families to discuss senior care options and conduct an initial Health Assessment. Visit clients regularly to assess their evolving care requirements and update the online Care Plan accordingly. Document changes in client care in WellSky (formerly Clear Care Online). Work with Caregivers to promote the highest quality care through formal education and onsite teachable moments. Work with Administrator and Scheduler to plan and implement staff education. Engage and network with stakeholders in local hospitals and health care facilities. Be willing and available to share the after-hours on-call phone.

    Primary Objectives:

Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company. Support a company culture that supports a safe work environment, emphasises quality, continuous improvement, and high personal performance. Ongoing personal development. Maintain vocational knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing relevant nursing publications.

    Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years relevant nursing experience, preferably in geriatric, home, or community care. Exemplary customer service skills and professional appearance. Current BCDL with clean driver's abstract (brand new company vehicle provided for client visits). Basic wound care experience. Familiar with DOTs (Delegation of Tasks) to Unregulated Care Providers as per BCCN&M guidelines.

    Personal Attributes:

Commitment to superior customer service through a professional approach and respectful manner and be dedicated to the continued success and growth of the company.

Reliable, organised and respectful of client and company confidentiality. Committed to personal growth and supporting the success your co-workers.

You must truly enjoy working with people and have a commitment to successfully support our Caregivers to grow personally, and the patience to respond respectfully to client concerns or complaints.

This is a great opportunity to join a fun team in a supportive, family-like environment.

We will equally consider an experienced nurse manager looking to lessen their stress in Home Care or an enthusiastic newer nurse looing for an opportunity to settle down with one company for many years; some training is available to support you as you familiarise yourself with the position.

The most important quality for a successful applicant is a person who will bring a positive energy to the office and who can be trusted unequivocally.

We require someone with strong communication and meticulous organisational skills who enjoys working with a smaller team and in the service industry.

Successful applicant must be detail oriented, be able to work independently, and accomplish tasks with accuracy. Always represent the company in an ethical and professional manner.

Most of all – HAVE FUNHours of work:
Monday to Friday, 10am – 5pm (occasional flexibility acceptable with notice).Compensation will depend upon relevant experience.
