Responsibilities:


  • Be a technical lead, manage, and mentor the infrastructure and end user support team.
  • Overall accountability for the availability and delivery of Infrastructure services including but not limited to datacenter, Network, Server, Storage, Virtualization, Operating System, Databases, and core infrastructure.
  • Oversee service continuity planning and testing for infrastructure services and ensures that services can be recovered within the required timelines; performs risk assessments and manages risks to prevent disasters.
  • Ensure secure, reliable, and highperformance connectivity is available for all hosted customers and remote users across North America
  • Architect (design/engineer) infrastructure environment that are highly accessible, fluid, and relevant to ensure business continuity. Make suggestions and implement solutions to ensure optimal system operations.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of emerging tools and technologies, making recommendations on products, upgrades, and standards.
  • Negotiate purchases and renewals to provide maximum return on investment for hardware and software purchased. Find, create, and maintain working relationships with existing and new vendors that can provide value to the organization in the form of products and services.
  • Manage employees including responsibility for recruitment, training, career development and performance management. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to help them in their personal and career development goals.
  • Coordinate between business and technical teams to understand and translate business needs into technology solutions to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Working with the Data Privacy and Security officers, maintain the Business Associate requirements of secure HIPAA compliant systems and working practices.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues and ensure appropriate mitigation and contingency plans are in place and being completed.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement within the organisation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
  • Knowledge and adherence to Change Management policy attend and run CAB
  • Establish and maintain regular written and inperson communications with the organization's executives, decisionmakers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.
Technical Requirements

  • 6+ years' experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (vSAN), VMware virtualization, Cisco, Fortinet, AWS, Azure.
  • 4+ years' technical experience working with server technologies such as Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, and server hardware.
  • 7+ years' experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence.
  • Administer and maintain user accounts, permission, and admin rights.
  • Knowledge of Industry best practices pertaining to infrastructure design and management
  • Understand datacenter hardware landscape, including overall IT systems landscape (including virtualization and cloud)
  • Knowledge of Industry best practices pertaining to infrastructure design and management
  • MSCA, MCSE, VMware VCP or equivalent certification an asset
  • ITIL certification or willingness to be certified.
  • Create and maintain existing PowerShell scripts as required.
  • Windows Server 2016 and higher, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres DB, Active Directory, Idp Providers, VMware, and related technologies.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
