    Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) is responsible for providing strategic direction, advice, and support to senior management, academic divisions, and SEM management on key processes and policies to enhance the student experience. These include processes and policies related to admissions, student financial assistance, transcripts, and relevant processes.

    Your opportunity:

    The Process Design Analyst plays a key role in consulting, analyzing, and documenting business processes to facilitate the development and redesign of information systems at the University with the aim of enhancing the student and administrative experience.

    The individual will collaborate closely with the University Registrar's Office management team to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems within the student lifecycle (e.g., admissions, transfer credits, and student information systems). This position involves working in partnership with registrarial colleagues, IT staff, and subject matter experts from across the University to ensure high-quality consultation, analysis, development, and execution of improved business processes and suitable IT solutions. Research, analysis, documentation preparation, and recommendations are key aspects of this role.

    The incumbent utilizes and enhances expertise in the University's student information systems (ROSI) and related technologies such as Technolutions Slate, Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint, to complete tasks effectively.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Analyzing and documenting business requirements
    • Assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and proposing technical solutions for enhancements
    • Contributing to the development of business systems
    • Providing guidance on best practices for documenting system and business requirements to clients and technical subject matter experts
    • Coordinating the implementation of new business system processes and collaborating on cost estimates
    • Writing detailed specifications based on system requirements
    • Monitoring the key performance indicators of projects or products
    • Creating and executing database testing plans, scenarios, and environments
    • Updating and maintaining documentation
    • Assigning work, training end-users, and serving as a resource

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a University setting, preferably in a Registrar's office or Information Technology
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including external information systems, web-based applications, spreadsheet, and relational databases
    • Ability to work with ROSI data, write SQL, and utilize software like Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills
    • Team leadership, conflict resolution, time management, and multitasking abilities
    • Capability to work independently, under pressure, with minimal supervision, and keep technical skills up to date
    • Tact, discretion, and good judgment
