Career Opportunity: Academic Services Coordinator

A dynamic 18-month term opportunity is available for an Academic Services Coordinator. In this role, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities within the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. The Academic Services Coordinator serves as a crucial link between various university units and the faculty. Reporting to the Administrative Officer, you will provide essential support for academic programs, ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
Offer exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff
Provide administrative support for academic advising, event planning, and data management
Develop advising relationships tailored to individual student needs
Facilitate group learning opportunities and workshops
Support program administration and student wellness initiatives
Promote academic integrity and manage communication efforts
Contribute to special projects and core functions
Handle data collection and management tasks

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and results-driven
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
Experience in conflict management and event planning
Empathy, tact, and discretion in handling sensitive information
Understanding of diverse student needs and perspectives
