Job description and duties

Duties:
The College Professors are responsible for contributing to the academic success of students.

This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction in the following courses:

Fall Semester (September - December):

BIOL 101: Introductory Biology I
Cells, Diversity, & Physiology (1 section)
BIOL 191: Introduction to Ecology (1 section)
CHEM 111: Fundamentals of Chemistry I (2.3 sections)
CPSC 111: Introduction to Computer Science (2 sections)
GEOG 160: Physical Geography II
Geology, Meteorology, and Climatology (2 sections)
MATH 131: Introduction to Statistics (1 section)
POLI 101: Introduction to Political Science (1 section)
POLI 203: International Politics (1 section)
WMST 101: History of Women in Canada (1 section)

Qualifications:

Required attributes/experience includes:

Demonstrated commitment to evidencebased teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate learners
Knowledge and enthusiasm for contemporary practices to promote and respect equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching, learning and professional contexts
Demonstrated excellence with intercultural competence, particularly in regards to local Indigenous communities
Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
