    We are actively recruiting for a full-time permanent Monitoring Center Agent - Bilingual responsible for handling all incoming alarm signal activities and taking appropriate action per instruction. Including video surveillance and monitoring of security equipment on-site at facilities. The associate will also make outbound calls in order to dispatch Police/Fire Departments regarding alarm activities while following standard operating procedures. This role requires heavy phone work as well as taking verbal instructions, typing, reading, speaking and writing.

  • The salary range for this position is between $21.42 and $29.79. In addition, we offer other opportunities and benefits as follows:

    Evening, night & weekend premium: additional $1.50 per hours

    Overtime, when worked at the Company's request, shall be paid on the following basis; time and one half (1 1/2) for the first four (4) hours of overtime on all regular working days and double time thereafter.

    Double time shall be paid for all work performed at the Company's request on the employee's day off

    Six (6) paid personal days off per year

    Options to trade shifts with other employees and/or, Give or take partial or full shifts to or from other employees.

    When scheduled to work on a statutory holiday, hours worked are paid at time and one half (1 1/2). You also have the option to take that day off at an ulterior date at regular paid rate.

    How you will do it

  • Resolve operational, customer service and/or employee issues.
  • Operate all call center equipment and peripheral equipment.
  • Interact with external and internal customers via telephone, email
  • Promote a positive customer service atmosphere.
  • Initiate necessary action when irregular signals are received, or trouble develops.
  • Work with outside repair technicians, guards, etc. to ensure that signals are received properly and that circuits and signaling devices are restored to normal operation.
  • Notify appropriate authorities and customers if alarm signal is received.
  • Must be able to adhere to standard operating procedures and special instructions.
  • Respond quickly and precisely to incoming phone calls.
  • Document all alarm activity and subscriber phone calls via PC and activity reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • What we look for

    Required

  • Must be ready to work either days, evenings or nights. Permanent shifts are offered in order of seniority. Most rotations require working one weekend out of two.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual French and English
  • Call center experience preferred. Security experience is also preferred.
  • Preferred

  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge including Microsoft Windows.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable handling potential emergency situations.
  • Able to type a minimum of 25 words per minute.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and detail orientation.
  • 4-to-6-week training provided by the company during a day schedule
