KPMG assists organizations in incorporating ESG matters into their operations through a team of professionals offering various skills including ESG strategy, sustainable finance, climate change, social and economic impact measurement, reporting, and assurance, guiding clients through their ESG journey.

    The ESG Data and Tech team at KPMG supports the increasing need for data and technology solutions to address diverse ESG requirements. This team caters to ESG core and extended teams and the Canadian Decarbonization Hub, providing talent, capabilities, and offerings essential for developing ESG & Decarb solutions.

    The senior manager will lead in delivering top-notch sustainability and ESG services, focusing on ESG data and technology while also:

    • Setting an example as an advocate of responsible business.
    • Possessing clear insights on major sustainability trends.
    • Having a deep understanding of current ESG reporting and data management software markets.
    • Navigating service offerings effectively.
    • Supporting sustainability propositions across the firm.

    What You Will Do

    • Coordinate ESG team members to define ESG Data & Tech solutions based on growing requirements.
    • Review and respond to RFPs related to ESG Data & Tech use cases.
    • Build alliances to bolster ESG Data & Tech solutions.
    • Outline technical requirements for applications, software, or platforms.
    • Engage with clients to understand their technology landscape and future plans.
    • Provide ongoing education to enhance skills.
    • Create a learning environment within the team.

    What You Bring to the Role

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Experience leading Data & Tech delivery teams.
    • Understanding of building ESG data estates and centralized repositories.
    • Knowledge of Data & Tech and Data Engineering foundations.
    • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards.
    • Experience with implementation projects in Data & Tech.
    • Experience with enterprise systems and Cloud environments.
    • Understanding of data platform services.
    • Expertise in designing data platforms for large organizations.
    • Strong relationship management skills.
    • Research and analytical skills to stay updated on industry standards and technologies.
