MacEwan University is seeking a Program Assistant for a full-time non-recurring term opportunity with the School of Continuing Education.The Program Assistant contributes to the success and smooth operation of the School of Continuing Education programs within the Student Support Centre.
The position responds to inquiries from students including admission requirements, course offerings, prerequisites, registration procedures, fees and fee payments and academic and student services for international students.
The Program Assistant is also responsible for specific tasks within these areas, providing administrative support to both units and will also be responsible for responding to email and telephone inquiries.
Referring students to the Advisors or Senior Program Manager for specific questions or concerns relating to programs or the instructors.
Communicating with Registrar's Office in relation to student applications, continuing student registration, prior learning assessments; Preparing reports, records and supporting documentation as directed by the unit supervisor.
Providing proofreading services.The ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with frequent interruptions.
A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Business, Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of two (2) years of related experience supporting program delivery, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, working with international students, including an understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.
