Experience
I am currently employed as an Editorial Assistant. Within this role I provide copy editing support to meet strict deadlines, this includes styling manuscripts and figures in line with scientific journal guidelines, whilst ensuring that these documents meet client expectations. One of my primary roles is proofreading manuscripts and other forms of copy, this includes: proofreading to check grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. This role requires me to communicate concisely and efficiently with colleagues, authors, and scientific journals to meet strict deadlines. This role includes liaising with team members to provide detailed and clear briefs for the in-house creative team in order to develop digital and print materials to meet client expectations. I am required to submit manuscripts and abstracts to online submission systems, this includes collating authors conflict of interest information and formatting figures and manuscript text to the journal/congress specifications, whilst adhering to strict deadlines.

This masters course allowed me to improve my writing skills through completing assignments and exams, alongside improving my ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure. I gained personal organisational skills by prioritising tasks to meet schedules and deadlines.
Psychology BSc, University of Plymouth (Sept 2016 – May 2020)
Achieved a 1st class Honours Degree (81%)
Final year modules included: Research Methods, Meaningful Mental Health, Social and Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology and Psychobiology.
