    This challenging and rewarding role involves technical, administrative, and field work relative to reviewing, planning and managing municipal storm systems, watersheds, sanitary sewer systems, water systems, , and engineering construction projects.

    An understanding of the City's water, sanitary, drainage systems and watersheds.
    Implementation of the City's leak detection program.
    Coordinating watershed health monitoring and management projects.
    Assisting with scope development and supporting the implementation of capital projects.
    Capital project planning and cost estimating.
    Liaising with Metro Vancouver for new or extended water and sanitary service connections.
    Working collaboratively in a team dedicated to serving our community.

    Your success in this role is dependent on your knowledge of municipal storm water, sanitary sewer, and water systems and their management and performance.

    You are also knowledgeable in design and engineering standards relative to all aspects of municipal infrastructure servicing and of the methods, practices, materials and equipment used in the construction and installation of municipal utilities.

    The ideal candidate has completed a diploma in an appropriate discipline (such as Civil/Structural Engineering Technology) from an institute of technology, plus sound related municipal engineering experience.

    A valid BC Driver's License is also required.

    This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $44.You will have the chance to join a rapidly growing and diverse team dedicated to supporting the local community, and be able to engage in variety of learning and development opportunities.

    This position is based in Coquitlam with some flexible, hybrid work options available.
