- Prepare and present lesson plans, lectures, course materials, assignments, and learning activities in support of learning objectives
- Educate students utilizing existing curriculum resources and utilize a variety of instructional techniques to promote learning and personal development
- Evaluate student progress and achievement
- Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
- Demonstrate personal interest in the success of the learner and create a climate conducive to optimal learning
- Maintain and develop relationships with academic colleagues and industry partners
- Minimum Required:
- Red-Seal Journeyperson Electrician certificate
- Certified Master Electrician (CME)
- At least five years of relevant work experience in the electrical trade
- Preferred:
- Prior teaching experience is an asset
- Undergraduate degree or teaching certification would be considered an asset

The MacPhail School of Energy is the only energy school in Canada, and we are charting a new course with a focus on sustainable energy sources and practices. MacPhail School of Energy provides hands-on, industry-guided training in labs that mimic job site environments, giving students the skills needed to find a rewarding career in the energy sector.The Opportunity
Teaching the electrical apprenticeship programs requires in depth knowledge of electrical theory, code, and current residential and commercial trade practices. The program is a blend of lecture, lab, shop, and code classes. The lab and shop courses would be co-taught with a teaching partner. This program offering will take place in-person at SAIT main campus.
