    Description

    If you join us as a Building Consultant, you will:

    • Lead as the Building and Cost Consultant, managing property insurance claims and construction projects of all sizes.
    • Ensure clear communication internally and externally with consultants, clients, insurers, and adjusters.
    • Assess restoration needs on-site, document property damage, create repair plans, and oversee work while preparing cost estimates and financial assessments.
    • Determine emergency and rebuilding costs using standard tools and our internal software.
    • Work with consultants to verify compliance with Building Codes and identify necessary upgrades.
    • Leverage resources and data from our teams to improve service quality and project results for clients.
    • Develop competitive tender packages for contractors and trades on behalf of clients.
    • Act as the main point of contact for project communications with stakeholders and EllisDon management.
    • Manage and assign tasks to team members while ensuring client deliverables are met.
    • Contribute to business growth through client expansion in the region.

    Do you have what it takes for this role?

    • Minimum 10 years experience in on-site restoration, cost consulting, insurance, or construction project management.
    • Required certifications: IICRC credentials and restoration-related certificates.
    • Proficiency in Xactimate, Excel, and Microsoft Office is essential.
    • Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree/diploma in Construction, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or relevant Trade Certification.
    • Additional designations like CIP, PQS, CIQS, RICS, PMP, or CRM would be advantageous.
