    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    TriPoint Insurance Underwriting Inc. is currently seeking an Underwriter Assistant to join our team and support the SHOP (Select Hospitality Owners Program). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting underwriters with a range of essential tasks.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate new business triage by setting up in EPIC/Policy Works, attaching all relevant correspondence
    • Handle document issuance, including but not limited to new and renewal policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and binders.
    • Manage the invoicing process for new business, renewals, and endorsements.
    • Complete monthly bordereaux for various contracts, both new and renewal.
    • Conduct follow-ups on new business quotes.
    • Send out renewal questionnaires 90 days prior to the expiry date.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring timely responses, accurate product information, and effective communication.
    • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, protocols, and directives.
    • Foster a company culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and innovation.
    • Fulfill any additional duties as required.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ideally, a minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry within a commercial setting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365, and insurance software (EPIC/Policy Works) is preferred.
    • Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
    • Familiarity with insurance industry terminology is required.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent; college education is a plus.
    • Preference given to candidates with insurance designations (such as CIP, CAIB, FCIP, CRM, R.I.B.O., etc.) or those enrolled in relevant certification programs.
