    Data Scientist - Machine Learning Team

    Edmonton, Alberta

    Responsibilities:

    • Collect and preprocess data from internal and external sources for machine learning model analysis and training.
    • Establish documentation, standards, and governance protocols for data preprocessing in machine learning.
    • Deploy scalable machine learning solutions for client-facing applications.
    • Implement monitoring, maintenance, and reporting protocols for existing models.
    • Contribute to the evolution of machine learning capabilities and agile projects.
    • Oversee diverse analytics projects to deliver end-to-end solutions.
    • Extract insights for stakeholders' decision-making and provide data-driven recommendations.
    • Engage with business stakeholders to translate objectives into analytical problems.
    • Receive training from the Machine Learning team and assist in developing predictive models for business challenges.
    • Collaborate with peers to assess machine learning models and offer data-driven insights.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
    • Experience in handling unstructured data and familiarity with machine learning concepts.
    • Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills.
    • Extensive experience in data preparation techniques and ML models.
    • Expertise in natural language processing and strong interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional written and presentation skills and project management experience is beneficial.

    Salary: $78,409 to $107,752 per annum (includes Market Supplement)

    Salary Grade 11.

    Note: Final candidates will undergo a security clearance.
