    If you have experience as a Law Clerk for over 2 years in litigation law and you're interested in joining a law firm that prioritizes relationships and is based on-site in Ottawa, then this opportunity is tailored for you

    Offering a competitive salary range: $50,000-$65,000

    About you

    In order to excel in this role, you will need:

    • Over 2 years of experience in a law office focusing on litigation
    • Educational background in Office Administration, Legal Administration, or as a Law Clerk
    • Thorough understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure
    • Proficiency in PC skills such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and adapt to changes
    • Capability to work independently, handle sensitive information with discretion, and maintain a positive attitude

    About the role

    If selected for this position, your responsibilities will include:

    • Preparing, meticulously editing, and ensuring the quality of correspondence and legal documents
    • Drafting pleadings for submission to different courts
    • Coordinating both external and internal communication via mail, email, fax, and phone calls
    • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries
    • Managing client files and preparing daily dockets
    • Generating accounts and organizing meetings, conference calls, and maintaining schedules
    • Assisting with various projects and providing support to other departments as necessary
