    Description

    We do this by developing and deploying smart technology that captures atmospheric carbon dioxide, enabling its use or storage to combat climate change and aid society and businesses around the world.

    Born out of the European Space Agency (ESA), we are a global team of highly talented scientists, engineers and business professionals, supported by an experienced management team.

    As we enter a new phase of growth, we are looking for a Strategic Development Director to continue this journey with us.

    For Skytree's next chapter of growth, we are looking for a Strategic Development Director to set up the strategy playbook supporting the commercial and tech teams with commercialization of Skytree's scalable DAC Hubs to serve several markets including: Carbon Removal, eMethanol, Sustainable Aviation Fuels, Sustainable Building Materials and CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture).

    This is an exciting opportunity for someone to identify opportunities and help unleash the potential of the very fast growing market for out-of-the-box DAC Hubs for any capacity CO2 CCU and CDR project.

    For all the profiles we are looking for, a genuine interest in climate technology, alignment with Skytree values, and experience in defining and developing new business in an industrial and complex setting is a must.

    This role is based either in our Amsterdam headquarters or our Toronto office (opening in Q2/2024).

    Acting as the Skytree expert for our DAC Hub proposition, articulating the value and utility of Skytree's technology, as well as representing Skytree toward potential customers and partners.

    Representing Skytree on the global stage, as a speaker at conferences and a thought leader in interviews and publications, and being the team leader and voice of the Strategic Development function.

    Developing and nurturing a pipeline of opportunities and defining effective partnerships with industrial partners as well as engineering companies.

    Leading competitive intelligence, including research, analysis, and the development of competitive win strategies within the DAC Hub marketplace.

    Working with regional teams to understand local regulations, legislation, and potential subsidies and assess their impact on future product strategies.

    Leading on DAC Hub pricing, from competitor analysis, customer research, strategy, feedback and implementation, in collaboration with the CEO and the CFO.

    Leading DAC Hub proposition roadmap in collaboration with Marketing, engaging with internal stakeholders and project managing the development lifecycle for new features in order to bring them to market.

    Acting as the cross-functional owner of Skytree's DAC Hub proposition between other business units: At least 8 years of relevant work experience at a senior / leadership level, especially working with industrial clients or carbon removal companies in a similar role, or alternatively at a relevant consulting firm.

    Experience working in Product or Proposition Management, understanding how desirability, feasibility and viability criteria provide the foundations for building and retaining successful concepts and products.

    A T-shaped individual: generalist and quick learner with an ability to provide a deep understanding of financial modeling, technical (hardware product) and partnership models.

    Fluency in English.
