    YOUR ROLE

    As a System Engineer (SE), you'll be maintaining ongoing day-to-day technical support of the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies (FoC) clients and business users. Reporting directly to the Manager, IT Infrastructure and working with the rest of the infrastructure team to providing uniform solutions across the board.

    You'll be working along with a team of dedicated IT professionals to help solve day-to-day issues as well as to plan and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure initiatives for the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies. This is a hybrid role, reporting into our Surrey, BC office, working part of the week from the office and part of the week remote.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    First 3 months

  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of GroupHEALTH and FoC IT environment and infrastructure to effectively navigate and troubleshoot within the systems.
  • Collaborate closely with other infrastructure team members and peers to actively engage in knowledge transfer sessions, gaining insight into typical day-to-day tasks, processes, and best practices. Strive to master these tasks to contribute effectively to the team's goals and overall infrastructure success.
  • Develop a strong familiarity with the various departments and business operations of GroupHEALTH and family of companies, ensuring a solid grasp of the overall company's structure and business
  • Work with colleagues to continue on-prem to cloud migrations
  • Contribute to any in-flight projects or initiatives.

    • YOUR IMPACT

  • Maintain, manage and prioritize Help Desk queues and tasks
  • Provide 1st, 2nd &3rd level support to on and off-site employees, including onboarding and offboarding of full-time, contractors across the Family of Companies
  • Communicate effectively with end users and stakeholders – status updates, next steps, confirmation of issue resolution etc.
  • Maintain complete documentation of work done/steps taken within tickets for historical reference or escalation purposes.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Firmware and security updates/patches related to Infrastructure devices
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to on and off-site employees
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Assisting in managing and planning projects with the help from Project Manager and senior IT members and leaders
  • Providing infrastructure support during development releases
  • Creating documentation for end-users and co-workers
  • Occasional evening and weekend and travel required when necessary

    • THIS IS YOU

  • Certificate or Diploma in a related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a similar Systems Administrator tier 1/2/3 support role
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3
  • Experience with Office 365 Administration (tenant, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Experience with Virtualization technologies in a live production environment; including public cloud.
  • Experience with VOIP networks specifically Cisco
  • Experience with Active Directory (including Azure AD), Intune, Group Policy.
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Cisco / Palo Alto networking experience

    • YOUR COMPENSATION
    At the time of this posting, the estimated pay range for this position is $70,000-$85,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the base pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
