    What You'll Do

    We are looking for a Systems Engineer to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the corporate infrastructure, Data Center functions, and support platforms of the REEF global environment. The person in this role must have sound technical capabilities across systems and cloud disciplines. This person must have a strong understanding of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Office365, VMWare, Active Directory, Windows Operating Systems, DNS, certificate management, Monitoring tools and solutions, along with troubleshooting and managing systems operations. Additional knowledge with Citrix, firewalls, switching, and routing are a plus. This role acts as subject matter expert for the systems infrastructure, cloud hosting technologies, and systems located in data centers and global office locations. The position collaborates heavily with engineering teams, third party providers, service delivery, teams as well as the application teams. The position works to ensure the health of all systems, services, and equipment to ensure high performance access and availability to the business. This role will focus on the backend systems (server) environment and cloud hosting with a strong service-oriented culture.
    Must possesses team management skills, including planning, setting priorities, providing root cause analysis, and problem resolution and good communication skills. The SE maintains a results-oriented focus and actively seeks responsibility and accountability for results. Meets regularly with management. This position reports to the IT Operations Manager.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with external and internal teams to update, create, and operate new and existing infrastructure technologies including on premise infrastructures, Azure and AWS.

    • Contribute to the design, development and implementation of infrastructure services and procedures

    • Provide direct support and maintenance of the corporate infrastructure

    • Setup or maintain monitoring tools for infrastructure services

    • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and activities for various systems

    • Document infrastructure changes or change procedures

    • Analyze, recommend improvements, test solutions, and implement changes as necessary to the infrastructure

    • Follow processes and procedures to deliver quality service to REEF and its clients following ITIL best practices

    • Write instructional support documents for Help Desk/support staff as well as end-users

    • Lead or participate as a team member in projects to implement solutions and follow best practices in well-established project management methodologies

    • Provide off hour, on call support as defined by business SLA requirements

    What We Want From You:

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 4 -Year Degree (Computer Science or similar IT degree a plus) or related experience

    • Experience working as a Systems Administrator or Engineer

    • Over 6 years in a similar role and/or capacity

    • Experienced working in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, VMware, storage concepts and technology, Office365, Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory, DNS, and Monitoring tools and solutions. Experience migrating platforms from on premise to cloud are a plus.

    • Integrating and Implementing complex solutions with Active Directory and Azure

    • Able to see the big picture and Identify opportunities to standardize, create efficiencies, and drive value.

    • Deductive reasoning skills as they pertain to system administration, such as troubleshooting focused on determining hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems, and patterned vs. non-repeatable problems.

    • Results-oriented and customer-focused. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers

    • Able to drive and manage change and adhere to IT methodologies and disciplines

    • Able to manage prioritize work, work independently, and meet deadlines

    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, probe, analyze and problem-solve complex issues.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt in a complex and changing environment

    • Work with detailed technical information and hands-on technology experience

    • Work as part of an agile team and capable of pivoting and changing direction with work

    • Manage personal stress and know own limits

    • Ask for help when needed

    • Ability to maintain information in confidence and exercise good judgment

    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
