    Job Purpose

    Glacier FarmMedia ("GFM") is a dynamic company in the Canadian agriculture industry that connects with farmers through a variety of regional and specialty media franchises, a listings marketplace for the sale of farm equipment, leading industry events like Ag in Motion and Canada's Outdoor Farm Show and customized offerings for Weather and Market analysis and insights.

    We recognize that many talented individuals operate farms in Western Canada. This is what we call a "farm flexible" role in our organization.

    This is a remote role that can be anywhere in Western Canada. We want to express that this role can be flexible for those who are involved in farming operations which means we can reduce the hours of this role at peak times of the growing season like seeding and harvest to accommodate what we know is a really busy time for farm families.

    This role is an 18-month fixed-term contract for an Individual Contributor who will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team with opportunities to grow in our organization.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Conduct outbound phone calls to subscribers of media publications, seeking renewals and feedback about content and products.
    • Represent GFM on calls using professionalism and provide and feedback about a customer experience to GFM, if follow up is required.
    • Act as a coordinator of important projects and events, working as part of a collaborative team to generate results.
    • Attend events in person, where the opportunity works out.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to continuously improve workflows.
    • Provide training, documentation, and support.
    • Support during vacation and other absences.
    • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • Exceptional customer service and relationship management (both internal and external).
    • Extremely organized, with a keen attention to detail, and a track record of meeting deadlines.
    • Ability to problem solve.
    • The ability and patience to react to new opportunities and learn new skills on the job. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly motivated and driven towards team success.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
    • Agriculture experience is highly preferred.
