    Description

    Our client is an industry leader, and they are looking to hire a US Senior Tax Analyst to join their team.

    Reviewing tax filings and payments, assessing/preparing working documents (ensuring clear audit trails), and overseeing specific deadlines for timely submissions, including:
    Annual US federal and state income and franchise tax returns and payments,
    Quarterly US federal and state estimated income taxes and payments,
    Monthly US state sales tax returns and payments,
    Assorted foreign income tax returns and payments (prepared by external advisors),
    Various foreign indirect tax returns and payments, coordinating with external advisors as necessary
    Preparing documentation to support US R&D claims
    Aiding in the preparation of tax provisions for financial statements, including income tax disclosures following US GAAP
    Supporting responses to tax authority inquiries during audit examinations at both federal and state levels, covering income and sales tax
    Reviewing tax authority correspondence, reconciling disparities, updating return carryforward records, adjusting general ledger accounts, and preparing relevant file documentation
    Conducting research and preparing analyses/memos on US federal and state tax issues
    Calculating Management Fees for US Entities
    Ensuring compliance with foreign transfer pricing documentation requirements and assisting in filing necessary information returns
    Researching and analyzing tax compliance requirements in foreign jurisdictions, including the application of income tax treaties
    Assisting in research and analysis for specific tax balances, such as surplus and FAPI for Canadian tax purposes
    Bachelor's degree or diploma in commerce, business administration, or a related field
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in US corporate taxation
    Exposure to US sales tax
