    Description

    Job Title: Site Coordinator

    Location: Markham

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a daily construction log
    • Maintain all project related schedule, drawing, test and inspection logs
    • Prepare purchase orders as well as releasing all material orders including concrete, rebar, door frames, hardware, office supplies, etc. following established purchasing procedures
    • Inspects and counts all deliveries against order invoices.
    • Prepare accounts payable invoices with work orders and receiving tickets.
    • Stamp and cost code invoices for delivery slip or invoice of expenses.
    • Prepare and maintain various communication/documentation with head office and site team
    • Respond to requests from the trades, supervisors and head office.
    • Organize and manage all delivery packages.
    • Track, control and organize documents in various systems.
    • Maintaining logs of materials, equipment, fuels etc.
    • Responsible for creating and maintaining all Health and Safety files containing Trade-contractors records of training, Health and Safety policies, registration of construction forms, Toolbox talks, MSDS sheets and all other documents relating to Health and Safety.
    • Ensures the trailer has the following items: notice of project, potable drinking water, WSIB, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations posted, phone numbers and directions to the closest hospital and first aid kit.
    • Enforce safety policies as required
    • Attend and participate in site meetings. Record minutes of meetings for review and distribute minute meetings.
    • Learn Jonas and all other related Metropia software to conduct daily functions.
    • Track all trade sign-ins, including purpose of site visit.
    • Keep construction trailer clean and broom swept.
    • When required, walk all units under construction for quality control, trade activity an advancement of project.

    Requirements:

    • 2-5 years experience in construction is preferred.
    • Knowledge of all phases of building construction
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Time management skills
    • Ability to read blueprints and specifications for buildings
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Prior experience with Estimating and Project Scheduling are beneficial but not required.
    • Experience related to safety, quality control and project scheduling is an asset.
