- Gather and develop requirements to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan
- Experience developing and managing project schedules, deliverables, and scope
- Ability to promote I&IT project management best practices and adherence to standard methodologies
- Demonstrated experience directing project teams to ensure project deliverables are delivered on time and adhere to government and ministry standards
- Extensive experience coordinating and monitoring project processes, and developing/communicating guidelines and procedures
- Resolve resourcing and inter-personal conflicts, negotiate changes to resourcing, ensure knowledge is shared among team members such as project objectives and deliverables are met
- Effectively manages large project budgets and ensures a high level of fiscal control and accountability including estimates, gating, forecasts, and reconciliation/confirmation of actuals
- Proactively identifies potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed
- Articulate and prioritize issues and risks at senior executive levels and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers
- Project Management experience (as appropriate to the specified experience and level) and use of Project Management software (as appropriate to the specified experience level)
- Experience in monitoring project performance against project plans and generating progress reports
- Experience in Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Demonstrated experience preparing and distributing project updates, progress reports to project stakeholder while managing expectations pertaining to scope and timeline constraints
- Demonstrated experience communicating across many functional areas to actively engage project stakeholders and manage client expectations with diverse interests, technical and non technical backgrounds using the appropriate level of political acuity and messaging for the audience
- Able to communicate in business language and with technology expertise
