Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Marketing and Communications, the Director, Marketing and Web Presenc e is responsible for developing and implementing the college's marketing and web vision and strategies.
With a focus on innovation, creativity and data-based decision making, the Director is responsible for the stewardship of Humber's corporate brand, recruitment campaigns and web presence.
The Director is also responsible for overseeing the development of marketing materials and web content and presentation targeted at internal and external audiences.
The Director is focused on activities that promote Humber's unique position in the marketplace, and increasing awareness of, pride in, and support for, Humber among its major constituencies, primarily through advertising campaigns, recruitment publications/collateral, website content and user experience and web-based activities.
The Director ensures that the College's brand is upheld and leveraged consistently in all College communications by all divisions, departments, Faculties, campuses, information systems, and special initiatives.
This role will lead the marketing and web teams.Contributing to Humber's brand vision and plans. Develops and oversees a comprehensive brand strategy to advance the college's reputation, vision, mission, values and strategic goals.
Planning, budgeting, developing and implementing marketing strategies related to the Humber central brand/positioning and supporting Faculty and other departmental initiatives.
Planning, budgeting, developing and implementing web strategies related to humber.Overseeing development and implementation of marketing campaigns, recruitment campaigns, advertising and promotions, design and production, web development and programming, user experience design and support materials and services in the areas of marketing and web.
Providing high level strategic oversight and guidance to teams of marketing and web professionals and coordinating at the strategic and tactical levels with other college functions; ensuring that service requirements are met in a high quality and timely fashion.
The Director will motivate department staff and create an environment promoting teamwork and integrated institutional planning.Leading web and multimedia projects and approaches to website and multi-platform storytelling, including managing relations with key vendors producing web and creative assets.
Ensuring reputation management by monitoring emerging trends or changes and working with the Government Relations Marketing and Communications leadership team to respond accordingly.
Providing counsel to executive and leadership team members on web and marketing strategic priorities and sensitive topics.Participate as a member of Humber and external Marketing and Web committees and working groups
The successful candidate will have a minimum of nine years working experience in marketing and web oversight in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment in progressive roles and responsibilities.
The candidate also has a 4-year university or college degree (a 3-year diploma/degree plus postgraduate credential in a marketing, web, creative, communications or related field is also acceptable).
The successful candidate will be a highly qualified, creative and dynamic leader with diplomatic skills, foresight and sound business judgement.
They are expected to have outstanding marketing and communications judgement with excellent writing, editing, verbal & presentation skills, experience in the development and implementation of marketing, branding, web and student recruitment strategies; proven ability to deal professionally with conflict management, political acumen and balancing tactical and strategic perspective, the ability to proactively and reactively make well considered decisions under tight timelines, and have superior web, computer, marketing, and social media literacy.
Additional assets include experience in the post-secondary sector or in a marketing/creative agency, demonstrated ability to oversee DXP-CMS enables websites and understanding of social media and other platforms.
