    Description

    Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team for a 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

    This role is located in Toronto, and follows a hybrid work schedule of 1-2 days per week onsite.


    Utilize knowledge of front office trading activities to evaluate electronic surveillance system alerts, ensuring their relevance within the market context.

    Engage in discussions with both the vendor and project team to validate the system's outputs.

    Perform ongoing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across various products, providing feedback on problems, issues, and potential enhancements in a collaborative team environment.

    Acquire expertise in operating the Surveillance system, relevant source systems, and other necessary tools for functional evaluations.
    Collaborate with the BAU (Business As Usual) team to share observations and insights derived from UAT testing.
    Demonstrate 8+ years of related trading or surveillance experience at a financial institution or regulated securities dealer.
    Showcase 2+ years of regulatory and compliance experience.
    Exhibit previous experience in identifying external market activity, news, and factors influencing trading activities.
    Have at least 5 years of experience in building testing strategies and executing UAT.
    Completion of the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, and/or the Trader Training Course is beneficial.
    Possess an understanding of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) dealer rules.
