We invite applications for a Health Care Coordinator with the St. Andrew's College Summer Camp. The camp runs from July 2nd, and ends August 16th, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm. Training and preparation will begin on a part-time basis June 22nd, .The Health Care Coordinator will be responsible for the overall health and safety of campers and staff, and overseeing the camp's health programming and policies. As the key health professional for the camp, the Health Care Coordinator will provide training to camp staff regarding health centre policies and procedures, administer first aid and dispense medications, and liaise with parents regarding camper health needs.
The main responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse or a Registered Practical Nurse with current First Aid and CPR certifications and a desire to work with children. Minimum requirement is the completion of two years of nursing school. Practical and professional experience is preferred. Candidates must illustrate knowledge of health care standards, emerging issues and best practices for the development and delivery of health and safety programs, particularly as related to children and youth, as well as knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulations.
