    Job Title: Senior Global Development Scientist Director

    Locations: In Office in one of these locations - Boston Seaport, Warsaw PO, Barcelona SP or Mississauga CA

    As a Senior Global Development Scientist Director (SGDSD) you will provide scientific and clinical input to all aspects of late stage product development. This includes the design, delivery, and interpretation of pivotal clinical trials and studies that further characterize the overall benefit, risk, and value of Respiratory and Immunology products.

    This role ensures a seamless and complete safety evaluation process for pivotal phase III trials.

    In this position, you will collaborate with functional experts and coordinate activities to support clinical studies and programs.

    The SGDSD works within a diverse team of researchers in Biopharmaceutical Units. Objectives are set by the Global Clinical Program Lead in collaboration with Global Clinical Head(s), focusing on late-stage clinical trials within respiratory & immunology.

    This role involves leading activities, contributing to science stories, regulatory submissions, process improvement, and mentoring scientists and physicians.

    Typical Accountabilities

    • Provide scientific leadership in designing and interpreting clinical trials.
    • Collaborate with colleagues in functions such as Patient Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Early Development.
    • Work on Late Phase clinical programs and support Early Phase and Medical Affairs colleagues.
    • Contribute to regulatory document preparation and interactions with authorities.
    • Analyze study data and literature, develop quality metrics, and support Medical Monitoring.
    • Ensure quality and consistency of clinical study results and safety evaluation.
    • Provide scientific evidence for strategic decision-making across departments.
    • Participate in scientific publications and presentations to multidisciplinary teams and partners.
    • Review clinical documents and provide scientific input to TA standards.

    Education, Skills and Experience Required

    • Scientific doctoral level degree or other relevant university degree with extensive Late Phase clinical development experience.
    • Ten or more years in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Understanding of scientific and clinical issues in clinical trial design and implementation.
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and experience in regulatory submissions and advisory boards.
    • Experience in dermatology and/or rheumatologic therapeutic areas preferred.
