- Contribute insights to Preventive Maintenance (PM) evaluations and development.
- Manage tasks related to the site's asset performance enhancement goals and guidelines.
- Supervise internal equipment rebuilds and assess external rebuilds.
- Participate in work prioritization and oversee emergency and urgent tasks.
- Contribute to daily work request assessments.
- Provide input on maintenance job plans and work scope.
- Offer insights on changes impacting the asset's bills of materials (BOM) and collaborate with stores to optimize part/material stocks.
- Take ownership of the weekly schedule, adjust as needed for emergencies.
- Provide technical support to maintenance staff for task execution.
- Assign tasks based on team members' skills rather than availability.
- Communicate corrective work requirements to Planning through formal channels.
- Conduct quarterly Trades people skills audits and address skill gaps.
- Lead shift handover meetings.
- Analyze job delay codes to enhance workforce productivity.
- Ensure timely updates of work orders in accordance with standards.
- Regularly monitor work order progress and offer guidance/support when necessary.
- Refer to visual boards displaying daily tasks and KPIs.
- Review completed work orders to ensure accurate time recording.
- Perform pre-checks for tools, equipment, and parts for scheduled jobs.
- Promptly send parts for repair if needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment complying with safety standards.
- Schedule overtime or contract work respecting budgetary constraints.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of work order documentation.
- Provide technical assistance for analyzing completed work orders for future improvements.
- Identify and address knowledge gaps from past work orders.
- Apply Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process for major failures.
- Review Trades skills annually and develop training plans.
- Enforce defined roles and responsibilities for Trades.
- Supervise cross-shift handover processes.
- Coordinate equipment handover schedules with Operations.
- Supervise spare parts return to the warehouse.
- Engage in Maintenance department's continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage mentorship programs for Trades roles.
- Track and enhance Maintenance execution KPIs.
